April is the CEO and lead tutor of Teach Young Minds. She is a certified teacher with over 13 years of teaching experience. She has extensive training in reading intervention, including Orton Gillingham dyslexia intervention.
With over a decade of tutoring students in reading and spelling, April has witnessed first hand how effective multisensory and explicit reading instruction is on struggling readers and spellers. Her current passion is to meet each student where they are at in their academic journey and provide them with the right resources, support and encouragement to get them where they want to be.
Outside of work, she enjoys nature walks with her husband and two kids, reading and learning to cook yummy Filipino food.
