This K-2 reading lesson is how to use the Picture Walk Reading Strategy to help your learner read unfamiliar words. We want our kiddos reading independently and and the Picture Walk Reading Strategy that will help them get there! A picture walk through the book is an example of pre-reading activities for your kindergartner, first grader or second grader. This Picture Walk Reading Lesson is an example of how I go on a picture walk with an emergent reader. Your learner does not need anything for this lesson. However I will be using the Reading Strategies Bookmark that can be found in the TYM Resource Library.
