I’m April!
Welcome to Teach Young Minds! I am so excited that you are here!
I am a certified elementary teacher and I have been teaching in Michigan for 10 years. During my summers I also taught reading intervention, as well as ESL.
Over the past decade as an educator, I have lived for that one moment: That “AH-HA” moment! Where the student is working really hard on either sounding out a word or finding out the answer to a math problem.
And suddenly, everything clicks! They get it! The student gets so excited, their confidence shoots through the roof and they feel like they can do anything! And I LOVE getting my students there!
Teach Young Minds is all about that “AH-HA” moment! It’s meeting their child where they are at in their academic journey and providing them with the right resources, the right support and the right encouragement to get them where they want to be.
I am so excited to share all of my tips, tricks and strategies that I have learned as an educator to reach each individual child!
And I’d love to know what you want to learn about teaching your child. What is something you are struggling with? Hopefully I can’t help you! If not, I have a whole tribe of educators that I can point you to if I am not the right person for the job.
